to make sure your car is ready for winter.Aside from installing winter wiper blades, your technician will be able
to take a look at the battery, cables, spark plugs, wires, belts,
hoses, block heater and a number of other items.
Because oil thickens
at low temperatures, "winter grade" oil and
a new oil filter
every fall are a must.
The engine cooling system is also crucial
as it regulates the engine's temperature and
provides heat to keep you warm. A regular inspection of the radiator,
radiator cap,
heater core, fan motor and coolant level should ensure that your
engine stays cool – and that you stay warm.
An inspection of the rear defrost, door hinges, weather strips
and locks can also be
done at that time. Friendly tip: Lock de-icer and lock lubricant
are always a good thing to have – as long as you don't leave them
in the car!
