Leaving on vacation without having your vehicle
inspected by a qualified technician could dramatically
increase the cost of your trip – not to mention your
stress level.
Your technician will first check your vehicle's fluids: Motor oil to protect
the engine
from wear due to friction, engine coolant for protection against
excessive heat, and
transmission and brake fluids.
Clogged air, oil, fuel and transmission fluid filters can affect
the performance of your
vehicle. Spark plugs wear out, which can jeopardize engine start-up
as well as
increase fuel consumption and pollution. Belts, hoses and clamps
become worn or
loose (the most frequent cause of stalling), endangering every
systems they supply.
Obviously, brakes must be in perfect working order. The CV shafts
or U-joints, gas
cap, radiator and cap, battery and cables, tires - including the
spare, lighting, wipers
and cabin air filter (which purifies the air inside your vehicle)
also need to be
inspected.
Don't risk ruining your vacation. For your own peace of mind, make
sure you're
ready for the road! |
